DARKWAR POOL ATARI 4.6.2022
This is a game for the ATARI ST mono. It is written in GFA BASIC 3.6.
It is not tested on a real machine and it is possible, that it can't be
run on it. You can try to run DWPATARI.PRG or DWPATARI.GFA in a
GFA BASIC interpreter. DWPATARI.PRG runs with the emulator hatari 1.8.0
and its built-in EmuTOS-image
(https://hatari.tuxfamily.org/download.html).
DWPATARI.PRG also runs with Steem v3.2 and the TOS-ROM tos1.02de
(http://steem.atari.st).
There are also no compatibility problems with
the STEmulator from the late 1990s. GFA BASIC was chosen as programming
language to write a program compatible to EmuTOS.
You have to destroy the enemies coming from the upper side of
the gamefield in this 2D-game. You move your player object with
mouseclicks and quit the game with the Exit button. You play for ten
minutes and try to get as much points as possible. There is
only one mode for playing the game, which is the diving mode.
The version for computers with JAVA, which must be
downloaded separately,
has got two more shooting modes.
Click on the gamefield to select the position of the player object.
You start with a second click. The player object moves to the
position of the second click. If the player object stops, you can
make it move again with another click. If the player object moves,
it damages the enemies, if it his them. If it doesn't move and
hits an enemy, you get minus points. The enemies with less arrows
drawn on them are easier to eliminate.
If an enemy reaches the bottom of the gamefield, you get one point less
in the result. You can't position the player object
in the outer ten pixels of the gamefield.
